Parking: Although not guaranteed, this home has room for approximately two cars to be parked in front of it. Leadville’s Victorian homes were historically built quite close together in the days before the “horseless carriage.” As such, parking can sometimes be a challenge. In the winter, maintaining an open parking space can cost homeowners a significant amount of money and/or hours spent shoveling. Please take these things into consideration as you plan your trip, and be courteous to your local neighbors by trying to park directly in front of the home you have rented.
Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.
Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.View More

Great house for our family to gather at for Leadville Trail 100. The house is very comfortable and has all of towels and linens you may need like its your own home. We were very comfortable in our stay and the house has separate living room and sitting room for relaxing and enjoying on a long visit. We were in the home for 6 days and it was great.Show more The house was perfect for our first family vacation, plenty of room for everyone. The view was amazing, and very peaceful. We enjoyed that everything was within walking distance. The host was very helpful and answered any questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again!Show more Uneven floors triggered my wife’s vertigo, numerous moths flapping around at night made sleeping difficult, no shelves in the refrigerator, creeky floors wake everybody up at night when trying to go to the bathroom. Last person to shower got a cold shower. Overall not well kept.Show more I do not recommend this house, it is not well cared for, it does not give you a pleasant vacationShow more
