Please respect the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm! - Main Unit The private entrance opens into the former Governor's entertainment quarters with a 12 foot ceiling, crystal chandelier and fireplace (display only) with original mantel. The living room has extremely comfortable leather couches, an antique armoire, an electric fireplace, and a smart TV. - Primary Bedroom (suite) The primary bedroom has a queen size bed with luxurious pillows, smart TV and a private en-suite bathroom (with jacuzzi), mirror and reproduction wallpaper imported from England. This room also has original wood flooring dating back to 1881. - Guest rooms (2 of them) The two guest rooms on the second floor come with queen beds, smart TVs , and beautiful electric fireplaces with original brass mantels) (note: the only showers are upstairs). - Kitchen The fully equipped kitchen has a cook top range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and table with four chairs. The space is completely private from the rest of the house and has a dedicated parking spot in the front of the house. This booking will give you ultimate privacy. The Governor's Mansion was once the home of former Governor Jesse McDonald and is centrally located in Leadville's National Historic Landmark District. Part of this house was built in 1881, with the mansion portion completed in 1893. Former Governor, Jesse McDonald, who sought and found his fortune in Leadville, built this big house to entertain guests as they travelled through town. Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants. Altitude sickness is real. We had an awesome time in Leadville. The house was big, an very much worth for what we paid. If I had to say something then I would say that there were a lot of automated emails. That could be less, at least for me. Beautiful house and worth the $Show more
