About the name, Trappers Treasure:
In the early 1860’s Trapper Sam made many trips to Denver bringing skins, small handmade wooden spades and lots of gold. Sam would speak frequently about the best place to trap while he carved his unique spades. When he didn’t show for several winters it was decided that he must have died and the location of his mine would never be known. One day in the 1890’s a miner prospecting near tree line saw an old cabin beside a mine shaft. The miner took a sample from the mine and grabbed one of the spades before returning to town. An old-timer saw the spade and recognized it as one of Trapper Sam’s, and the two spent many years searching for the mine that had once been stumbled upon.

There’s no end to the outdoor activities you can enjoy here, from mild scenic hikes to ultra-athletic pursuits, and we’re not limited by season. Head out on a fall colors bike ride, ski or snowshoe, go fly fishing, or climb the fourteeners! And as for the great indoors, we have plenty of restaurants, shops and historical attractions.
Leadville is a very walkable city, driving to downtown is recommended from Grand West Resort. Downtown leadville has lots of street parking and public parking areas.

The place was great, could use some updating, no USB charging, must bring your own. Outlets were very loose and sloppy.
Amenities were great, cable tv and internet, fantastic.
Washer and dryer.
Kitchen was very nice and plenty of plates bowls, cups silverware, and there is a dishwasher
Need more televisions, and bigger living room one, none in the loft or bedroom.
This is about 5 miles outside of Leadville and very close to Turquoise Lake!
All in all the place was very country, gas fireplace gave it a homey feel, floor heat, but really didn't use.
Could easily sleep 6 people!
It was very quiet with very few people staying in other condos.
